EMERGENCY FOOD SERVICES

With 15 years’ experience in emergency food services, Joel Catering is proud to assist in natural disaster and quick response relief and recovery efforts. Whether it’s serving 3,000 meals a day to residents living without power in the wake of a major hurricane or providing food and laundry services to workers rebuilding an industrial plant. We are ready to help! Just in 2020, we assisted with the local New Orleans Covid-19 response by providing meals to Navy medical workers when field hospitals and step down units were necessary to assist in caregiving efforts.

RAPID RESPONSE

We, at Joel Catering, understand the fast-paced and ever changing demands of disaster situations and have the ability to respond rapidly. We will build an emergency food service response plan specific to your needs, and will be with you as needs change to help in the overall recovery effort.

Our team has extensive experience working together under extreme and challenging circumstances, to develop systems, streamline processes and produce top quality results when time is of the essence.

MENU PLANNING

With years of experience, Joel Catering has developed nourishing, tasty and filling meals that are also cost conscious. Our menu plans offer balanced, high quality meals that can be served in dining facilities that we provide, that utilize on site facilities, or as a “boxed” meal that is taken to go. We are part of a national buying group and have long standing relationships with national and regional food suppliers, allowing us to obtain food, beverages, and supplies in spite of difficult conditions or remote locations.

SAFE PRACTICES

In the aftermath of a hazardous event, special precautions must be taken to protect everyone’s health and safety. That’s why we have a team experienced in traditional sanitation practices on hand at all times and work with specialists as needed. Furthermore, all local, state, and federal, regulations are adhered to and personnel maintain proper personal protective equipment at all times. This year, as part of our work with the Navy, our on-site kitchen passed rigorous testing by the Department of Defense as part of our contract.

We also have extensive experience working together during the Covid-19 outbreak, having worked on projects continuously since the pandemic began in the US. We have developed Covid-19 specific safety and sanitation practices with a sanitarian to mitigate risk as much as possible.

And, of course, off premise catering is our primary focus, giving us many years of experience safely handling food service in remote locations!
